"Narendra Modi's Diplomatic Triumph: Harnessing People's Power to Navigate Anti-India Sentiments in the Maldives"

Over time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has skillfully used a unique diplomatic tool – the power of the people – by making Indians aware of any insults to our nation. This approach proved pivotal in dealing with the anti-India sentiments of the Maldives regime.

Narendra Modi's Diplomatic Triumph

Picture this: If you're on an island, it might feel like no one is paying attention, and you're beyond anyone's reach. The Maldives, with its increasingly Islamized society and a new government cozying up to China, reveled in this false sense of insulation.

However, India, the Maldives' closest neighbor (referred to as Bharat), has been closely monitoring the situation. In Malé, various politicians, including President Mohamed Muizzu of the People’s National Congress (PNC), built their campaigns around anti-India rhetoric. They proudly wore red T-shirts with slogans like 'Go Back India' and 'India Out.'

Once in power, Muizzu's government made a bold move by asking India to withdraw 77 military personnel responsible for operating helicopters and an aircraft provided for emergency medical evacuations and disaster relief operations to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

The success in handling this diplomatic challenge lay in Modi's strategy of mobilizing public sentiment as a powerful force. By engaging people's power, India countered the animosity from the Maldives regime effectively. This approach highlights the significance of public awareness and pride in shaping diplomatic outcomes.
